Restaurateur Andrew Tarlow, celebrated for institutions including Diner, Marlow & Sons, Roman's and Achilles Heel, has unveiled Borgo, his first new restaurant in a decade, on East 27th Street in Manhattan. Nestled at the corner of Flatiron and Nomad, Borgo features two great rooms connected by a hearth, an open kitchen with a wood-burning oven, a lively, generous bar and lush back garden. With the warmth from its hearth setting the tone, Borgo serves grower-focused, ingredient-driven cuisine that has earned Tarlow loyal followings at his other destinations. Italian-leaning with a continental bent, the menu features abundant seasonal vegetables, fresh pasta, and wood-roasted meat and seafood. Tarlow, alongside a talented team including Chef Jordan Frosolone, General Manager Rashaad Jones, and Wine Director Lee Campbell, aims to create a warm, community-centered dining experience.
